Several audio clips from Shogun Assassin are used on rapper GZA’s classic album Liquid Swords (produced by RZA). In addition, the film is invoked in Kill Bill Vol. 2 (for which RZA provided original music) in the end scenes where the protagonist and her daughter watch it as a bedtime story.
A Break from the Norm is a compilation album arranged and released by Fatboy Slim, under his name of Norman Cook. It was released in 2001.
The album was released to illustrate where Cook obtained a number of his samples for famous Fatboy Slim songs, and as such most of the artists (and tracks) are relatively obscure.

I really don’t know much about this producer that goes by the name of Hairy Diamond (and can’t seem to find much either), but I stumbled across this track the other day whilst listening to one of Mr Galactus’ crate diggin videos on YouTube. Hairy Diamond has used an incredible sample from Ad Libs “Giving Up” and created a really chilled out, soulful Hip Hop beat. Check this out:

As soon as I heard this I instantly heard the Apache break by The Incredible Bongo Band, but I was more interested in finding the sample used in the vocals.
KMD comprised of Zev Love X (later known as MF DOOM), DJ Subroc, and Onyx the Birthstone Kid. There sophomore effort was scheduled for release on Elektra Records in 1994, but was shelved indefinitely because of the controversial cover art and lyrics.
The album was finally released in 2001 on Sub Verse Records and re-released by DOOM in 2008. The samples include music from Melvin Van Peebles, Kain, Melvin Bliss, Jody Watley, and others.
