(Audio) Hudson Mohawke – Essential Mix

Following the release of his debut album Butter, Hudson Mohawke has already been featured on radio shows like Deviation or Viral Radio. However, it’s safe to assume that many will consider his BBC Radio One Essential Mix the best show this year, unregarding how much hate for Pete Tong you got.
Reading the tracklist should be enough to make your jaw drop already. It features two hours of music, including tons of unreleased tunes.

(Audio) Buff1 – Ghosting

Michigan based rapper/songwriter Buff1 shares with fans his newest project today entitled, Ghosting. The project will give listeners insight on the types of artists and music that inspires Buff1. (Video) Hudson Mohawke – Fuse

At the age of 15 Birchard, under the name DJ Itchy, was the youngest ever UK DMC finalist. His earliest gigs as a club DJ were with Glasgow Uni’s Subcity Radio where he was part of the culture city kids show and later other shows including Turntable Science with Pro Vinylist Karim and Cloudo’s Happy Hardcore show. Birchard became Hudson Mohawke after seeing the name engraved on a statue in the hallway of his accommodation. Alongside friend and affliate Rustie, Hudson Mo is a purveyor of the Hip Hop offshoot that is sometimes known as aqua-crunk-step or Glitch Hop, although Hudson does not generally accept these labels.

(Audio) Hudson Mohawke – Ooops (Oh My)

This track is his first release proper and is already one of those releases that absolutely everyone seems to be asking us about. This features Hud Mo on the re-jig tip, taking some well known R&B tracks (including what must be one of the finest tracks about masturbation ever recorded – Tweet’s immense “Ooops”), slowing them down, deconstructing and rebuilding them with a deep, bass-heavy edge and a loose, almost frayed percussive swing.
