The Mouse Outfit has been a mainstay of the Manchester hip hop scene for some time now. Their high energy live shows have led them to record two sessions for the BBC at Maida Vale, perform at festivals all over the UK and share stages with heavyweight acts such as The Cinematic Orchestra, Youngblood Brass Band and Chali 2na. This summer they will be playing at Soundwave in Croatia with Dr Syntax (peripheral member of the Foreign Beggars crew), who has been touring with the band for the past year.
Sparkz made a big impact on the Manchester scene in 2011, with the release of his debut EP Back to Basics and his hosting residencies at Hit & Run. His international collaboration with Afu Ra, recorded in New York following his victory at MCR Superstars was one of the highlights of the year. Sparkz is looking forward to a busy 2012, with appearances at Outlook Festival and releases with Dub Phizix on the horizon.
Dubbul O is one of the most talked about MCs in Manchester, catching attention as a leading figure in local hip hop super crew The Mothership Connection. Having garnered support slots with The Four Owls and GZA, Dubbul O is building a reputation as a technically gifted MC with a unique style. He has a number of high profile releases in the pipeline including Spooky Caravan from The Kydrophonics EP.
