The track is produced by Gedsi and features obscure samples pieced together on an MPC 2000xl and recorded using the finest in analog gear. Rap Phenomenon is a reminder that there is still some quality Hip Hop being made in a time where hip hop has lost its identity. Piece of Mind has finally arrived.
Piece of Mind consists of Emcee G Roc and DJ/Producer Gedsi. Following in the same vein as Gangstarr, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Epmd, Brand Nubian, People Under the Stairs and more, this hip hop duo sets out to make classic sounding hip hop through a timeless formula that resonates with hip hop fans — sample-based, boom bap! The first of a series of ‘Rebel Bass Sessions’, THTC hit up McDonalds in Leicester Square to provide a little bit of free entertainment and much needed ecological incite.
Rapper Leon Rhymes is accompanied by beatboxers Pikey Esquire, BeatFox and Marv ILL.
