“This month we had an outside suggestion from our brother Alpha Saliou Daimaô of the ‘Le Gros Tas de Zik’ blog and Radio show in France. During a conversation with Gadget he recommended a challenge for the Jousters to work with the sounds of John Hicks, a Jazz pianist who worked with several big names and even spent some time as a member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers.”
“The Jazz Jousters were happy to take up Mr Daimaô’s challenge and began digging in JH’s large, yet hard to find archive and came up with this compilation.”
