(Audio) Visager – August ’12 Mixtape: Get up, the world is waiting for you with a club.(FREE D/L)

Check out some interesting blend of sounds by NYC producer Visager: “Every month, as I’m exploring New York City, I record samples from the places I’m dipping into. I take those samples back to my home studio and weave them with live and electronic instrumentation. This month has over 100 samples, from subway beatboxers, to 60s French music videos, to jackhammers and even Stephen Colbert at a live taping. These sounds combine to make a listening experience that feels like hip hop, but contains plenty of surprises once you peel back the lid.” Twitter // Tumblr Also check out NOMAD // featuring samples from Dirty Harry Nomad is the very first album by VISAGER, featuring a stupid amount of samples from Clint Eastwood’s 1971 movie Dirty Harry. Some tracks, namely “The Carefree Kids” and “Where’s the Girl?” are made up almost entirely of sampled sounds and music from the movie. “Nomad II” is the only track on the album to feature no samples.
