“Back to the Grill” featuring Chubb Rock, Red Hot Lover Tone and Nas was released August 25, 1992 on Def Jam Recordings. It was from Return Of The Product, the debut album of American hip hop rapper MC Serch. The track is notable for featuring a young Nas in one of his first appearances on record. If only Hip Hop was still like this!
“This was the 2nd video from my solo album. The piano player was a guy who worked for my record label doing video promotion and the indian smoking the peace pipe was the lawyer who cleared all the samples on the album. Nas brought all his people from the Bridge with him and they all are in the video. One other interesting tid bit: The prom queen that I strip down at the end of the video is now Kelsey Grammer’s wife Camille, who was once a dancer on The Grind on MTV. Enjoy”
