Due for release in April 2009 is this new album from Asaviour and DJ IQ.
Fifteen track deep it features some of the biggest names from the UK underground and is a relaxing and enjoyable listen from start to finish. ‘Complicity’ kicks off the events well with a nice verse from Kashmere and some adventurous almost trippy production from IQ. Asaviour then holds his own well on ‘Sucker & Saavy’ (Revisited) before we get my favourite cut on the album ‘Next Week’ featuring Dubbledge. Other tracks worth mentioning is the massive ‘Hustle & Hope’ feat Pride, Kyza & TB which
rides well on a double tempo vibe and the super sick ‘Gatheround’ feat Jehst. Graziella, Thabo and Verb T also feature making this one of the best UK releases of 2009 so far. Excellent forward thinking music and something you need in your collection. What impressed me the most here is how they have mixed up so many musical influences such as Electronica, rock, jazz, blues, funk, grime, rare groove, chill-out and soul to make something real special. The instrumental cuts really compliment the album too; making this something wont date and have a long shelf life. Great inspirational music so big up to all involved for giving us something new, fresh and exciting.
